Scarlett Johansson - American Actress and Singer (born in New York City on 22 November 1984) Her range of talents as an actress has brought the world awe for her work in dramas from the past to suspenseful films and even adventures. Johansson grew up in New York City as the daughter of an architect, and also an executive from a production firm. Hunter, her twin brother, and she were all the smallest of a family of four. When she was just seven years old, she began making auditions for TV commercials. Following a short period her studies began in the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. In the years following there was a Professional Children's School was opened in Manhattan. In the Off Broadway play Sophistry she acted alongside Ethan Hawke. She then had her first appearance in a film in North (1994), directed by Rob Reiner, at age nine. Johansson later appeared in Just Cause (1995) but her breakthrough was Manny & Lo (1996) a coming-of-age film about siblings who are orphaned and run away. The Horse Whisperer (2000), in which she played the role of a teenage girl who has a deformity because of an accident earned the film critical acclaim. Then in Ghost World 2001 (as the cynical teenage outcast Rebecca), Johansson gained an even greater amount of attention. The actress is most famous for playing Nell Jones (on CBS' hit series NCIS Los Angeles). She's one of the major characters. Apart from her role in the production, she's an accomplished actress on stage. Her performances were stunning in Wildflower as well as other stage productions. Renee Felice Smith started her career in entertainment from a very young age. While she was still a young child Smith was interested in acting. Smith was offered the first of her acting gigs in the age of 6. Smith was in a Dannon commercial for television. Like other young actresses in her position the actress honed her talents on the stage. In addition, she worked on other projects throughout the USA as well, and Wildflower was her first onstage performance. Her education was in Stonestreet Studios, the Stonestreet Studios Conservatory of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
